Remote Site and Incident Location Networking

CPCS Technologies can assist your agency in developing transportable ‘field pack’ network systems sometimes referred to as ‘flypaks’ that allow you to establish data networks in the field.  These networks are useful for lengthy events such as:

• Hazardous materials incidents

• Terrorist incidents

• Major fires

• Hostage situations

• Plane and train crashes

• Special operations missions

CPCS can arrange for incident location networks to act as a remote node on your existing LAN or WAN or the incident location can function completely independently as a stand alone network.

Incident location networking can be done over short distances of less the 5 to 10 miles from the existing network with specialized and secure 802.11 networking equipment.  For stand alone networks or locations that are too far from the existing network connectivity options include the new broadband CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) wireless services, or high speed satellite connectivity.

Incident location networking offers your agency a multitude of advantages including:

• Real-time access to video or webcams from the incident.

• Real-time situation reporting from the scene.

• Secure VOiP from the scene.

• Access from the scene to reference resources available via the Internet or the home office network.

• Secure and detailed messaging in and out of the scene for incident mangers and personnel.

• Ability to allow press access to the Internet to allow the press to communicate to their organizations or the public.
